The Belevi Mausoleum

This monument is situated in the town of Belevi, 13 kilometres from Selçuk, East of the intersection on the way to İzmir. It is the second largest and highest tombstone of ancient Anatolia, after the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The monument that dates back to the Hellenistic is thought to be the tomb of the Seleucid king Antiochus II Theos who died in Ephesus in 246 BC.
