Pollio Aqueducts

On the building inscriptions at aqueduct’s both sides it is written in two lines (top Latin, bottom Greek) that C. Sextilius Pollio, his wife Ofillia Bassa and step son C. Offilius Proculus built this structure with their own sources in the honor of Augustus, Tiberius and Ephesus People. Tiberius name is mentioned, which shows this building was built in A.C. 4-14 years. Double-storied aqueduct is passing over Dervendere river and valley (whose antique name is Marnas) with three big aqueducts below and six littler aqueduct at top level. Today, there is a riverbed below the aqueduct at lower level.
