Located in the Northern Aegean Dikili is famous for its azure blue sea, 40 kilometers of sand, therapeutic thermal sources and hot springs. The district which has been home to a number of different cultures, is a symbol of the region with its festivals and culture-arts events. Thousands of tourists come to the district every year.
Dikili port is also an active customs gate. Many tourists who come to Izmir enter via Dikili. Most of these tourists are daily visitors here to visit the cultural-historical assets of the ancient city of Bergama (Pergamon). A port of Pergamon in the Ancient Era, Dikili continues with the same function today.
