Kemalpaşa has witnessed numerous settlements throughout the history for it is a transit point between Smyrna (İzmir) and İlydia (Sardes).


Neighboring Turgutlu, Manisa, Bornova, Torbalı and Bayındır; the district, which is 29 km from İzmir, has been described as a bride for it’s full of greenery and has various fruit trees blossoming on its soil during the spring. Kemalpaşa has been called “Nif” which means “bride” in Greek throughout the history however after the Proclamation of the Republic, it was named “Kemalpaşa” since Mustafa Kemal Atatürk chose to accommodate here.
