The city of the Mother Goddess


Torbalı, which has been the center of various civilizations throughout history and takes its name from Metropolis, is making a name for itself in culture and tourism with its deep rooted history although it is known for agriculture and industry.


Torbalı, which is 45 kilometers from the city center of İzmir, is surrounded by Bayındır and Tire in the east, Menderes in the west, Selçuk in the south and Kemalpaşa in the north. The borough, which is located in the south of Izmir, was established on the northwest of Küçük Menderes basin. The southern extensions of Nif (Kemalpaşa) Mountain and the western extensions of Mahmut Mountain make the borough mountainous. The rest is the continuation of Küçük Menderes Plain.
