Garip Island

Garip Island, bearing traces of antiquity, is one of the trios of 'Radiant Islands' (its ancient name: Arginnsai) mentioned by the famous historian Strabon. One of the other two is Kalem Island, located just across Garip Island. The third island is thought to have joined the land and took the shape of a peninsula after various natural events. This islands region is famous for the great sea battles between Athens and Sparta in the 400 BC. You can rent a small boat from Dikili Bademli Harbor to reach Garip Island, which is about 400 meters from the mainland. When you reach the island by boat, you can sunbathe and enjoy the island as much as you want. There are no places on the island that sell anything, including water. The island is a completely natural island and you must bring your food and drink with you. In addition, since there are not many trees on the coastline of the island that you can take advantage of, you should definitely bring your umbrella with you. One option to spend time on the island is to come to the island by a tour boat. When you come to the island, you can quickly swim to the island and leave yourself to the white sand until the boat leaves. In this way, even if it is short, you can taste the atmosphere of the island.
