Alamadan Dede Mausoleum and Tomb

This mausoleum, which is located in a small garden in Alamadan Street in Izmir Tire district, 4 Eylül District, has no inscription, so it is not certain to whom it belongs. It is known as the Alamadan Mausoleum among the people and it is not understood what the word Alamadan means. It is also thought that this word is spoiled from the names Alemeddin or Alaeddin. The mausoleum is made of rubble stone, 6.95x735 m. It is a square-planned structure in size and is covered with a sliced, pendant dome resting on an octagonal frame. The entrance to the mausoleum is on the east facade, and a door with a rectangular and straight weft is entered. The scarfs and jambs of this door are marbles brought here from an ancient building. The interior of the mausoleum is 5.05x5.45 m. measuring, completely plastered, illuminated by three windows on the north, south and west edges. There are two graves in the mausoleum, whose belonging is unknown. Head and foot stones brought from other places were erected in these graves.
