Cağaloğlu Ali Paşa Mausoleum

This mausoleum, which is located in the courtyard of Karahasan Mosque in İzmir Tire district center, Cumhuriyet Street, was dedicated to Cağaloğlu Ali Pasha, but an inscription indicating this was not found on the tomb. Only the name of Cağalzade Ali Pasha and the date h.1029 (1619) are written on the tombstone inside the mausoleum. However, it is not certain who this mausoleum belongs to. The mausoleum is made of rubble stone and brick, 3.90 m on each side. It was built in a hexagonal plan in length. The mausoleum is similar to the Yaglioglu mausoleum with its plan shape. The mausoleum is entered from the northwest edge. This entrance is made of plain weft and marble and is surrounded by thin grooves. The mausoleum is covered with a dome with a trumpet. The dome consists of two pulleys on top of each other. The mihrab with muqarnas, which coincides with the entrance, has five faces, and is enclosed in a rectangular frame with a flat and narrow mold. Inside the mausoleum, there is a grave with different head and foot stones.
