Gazez Mosque
According to the inscription of this mosque located in the Ahi Hıdır District of Izmir Menemen district, opposite the Municipality building, it was built by Mustafa bin Mahmud in 983 Hijri (1575-1576 AD). The mosque, which has a square plan made of cut stone in the classical Ottoman architecture style, is covered with a central dome with a pendant. The presence of intricate moldings on the entrance door is similar to the cupola in the courtyard of the Konya Alaeddin Mosque.
