Bergama Ancient City is located within the borders of the modern Bergama district of İzmir province. Pergamon Theatre, one of the most beautiful architectural examples of the Hellenistic Period, is one of the steepest theaters in the world, built on a steep 30-degree slope, and has a capacity of 10,000 people.
