Pergamon Ancient City (Acropolis)

Bergama Ancient City is located within the borders of the modern Bergama district of İzmir province. The history of the ancient city dates back to at least the 5th century BC in the upper part of the city; There are structures such as royal palaces, temples, sanctuary, theater and library. In the lower part of the city, there are temples, Attalos House, Agora and Eumenes Gate and Gymnasium. Pergamon Theatre, one of the most beautiful architectural examples of the Hellenistic Period, is one of the steepest theaters in the world, built on a steep 30-degree slope, and has a capacity of 10,000 people.
