Hacı Sinan Hammam

Hammam, which is located in the district of İzmir's Bayındır district, Cami quarter, is a work of the Ottoman period, together with the mosque. It was built in 950 Hijri by Hacı Sinan. It was built as a social complex with the madrasa to the southeast and the hammam to the west. The bath, which consists of two parts, warm section and cold section, has a square plan and is covered with a dome. Although the main entrance is from the west, it was closed later and the entrance was taken to the east. There is a window above the entrance. One passes from the cold section to the temperature section through a door in the south. In the cold section, there are changing rooms in front of the northern walls as well as the pool and tea room. The hot room is located in the south and there are lighting holes on it. In the southwest, the semi-domed roof supports the main space, and the dome and semi-domes covering the cold and warm section and the carrier wall tops are covered with Turkish style tiles. The bath is illuminated by the lighting holes in the dome and windows located in the west, east and north. It was built using stone and brick materials.
