Buca Train Station
It is one of the first stations established on the İzmir-Aydın railway, which was the first railway line built in 1866. It was built in 1872 to deliver the famous grapes of Buca from Alsancak port to the whole world. The station, which was used by Alsancak-Buca suburban trains until 2006, was closed in 2006 due to İZBAN works and is idle. The station is adjacent to Dokuz Eylül University Buca Faculty of Education. In 2005, Alsancak-Buca flights were limited to morning and evening flights. The last train departing from this historical station departed for Alsancak Station in 2006 at 18:34. After this expedition, the historical station was closed.
