Gazi Hasan Pasha the Algerian Monument

It is located in the Musalla District. Çeşme Castle is in front of the west facade. It was built in memory of the famous Turkish Sailor and Statesman Algerian Gazi Hasan Pasha on May 12, 1975. Algerian Gazi Hasan Pasha (born 1713-d. 19 March 1790) was an Ottoman statesman and soldier who served as grand vizier between 3 December 1789 and 17 March 1790 during the reign of Selim III. He became famous for walking around with a lion he tamed. It was known as Palabıyık nickname.
