Sultan (Kumkuma-Eskibey) Hammam

The hammam is located on Türkocağı Street, Kurtuluş Neighbourhood of Tire district. In the sources, it was also known as Eski Bey and Kumkuma Hammams. The warm room, heat room, water tank and furnace of the hammam were demolished. Only the two large domed rooms in the north and the entrance portico in the northwest have survived to the present day. In the place of the demolished parts, there is a single-storey reinforced concrete building today. The building is used as a painting workshop by its owner today. Brick and rubble stone in the walls, domes, dome transitions, and brick in arches were used as construction materials. As far as it is understood from the places that reached today, Sultan Hamam is in the group of double hammams. These places should be the dressing room for the men and women part of the hammam, which extends in the north-south direction. However, there is no evidence or information about which is the female and which is the male side.
