Molla Çelebi Mehmet Mosque

It was built by Molla Mehmet Çelebi in the early Ottoman period in 1489 in the inscription of this mosque, which is located in Izmir Tire district, Paşa Neighbourhood, Molla Yokuşu (Ziya Yokuşu) Street. While the Molla Çelebi Complex, known as the Toptepe Mosque among the people, managed to stand against time, it seems that the minaret, which could not resist adverse weather conditions, had broken out of its place last winter. The madrasa of the complex is not standing. The most interesting part of the Molla Çelebi Mosque is that the grave of Ahmet Tavil, who is rumored to be one of the teachers of Fatih, is in front of the qibla wall of this mosque. Next to the mosque, there is the two-storey mausoleum of the mosque's builder, Molla Celab, built with a very beautiful architecture. Again, in this mausoleum, as in the others, they considered the upper floor as places of science re-accumulation. The historical mortar stone thrown in a corner in the garden of the mosque and lying on its side draws our attention. In fact, there is also a column base that goes as far as Rome. Molla Çelebi draws attention with his tulip, which is named after him, and with his dowry money for poor girls.
