Pir Ahmet Paşa (Leyse) Mosque
It is in the area called the old Animal Bazaar on Lütfü Paşa Street in İzmir, Tire district, Paşa District. The mosque, which is from Pir Ahmet Çelebi endowment, son of Mevlana Leysi Çelebi in the 16th century, is also included in the records as (Sipahi Pazarı Masjid). Among the Tire Quarters in 1530, the Hacı Ahmet district, which is named after him, is noteworthy. Pir Ahmet Çelebi, who is also a teacher of Ibni Melek and known for his extensive knowledge, has worked as a professor in many cities such as Istanbul, Bursa, Edirne, Manastır, Filibe and Skopje. He was also in Aleppo and Cairo, and died in 1526. The mosque, which has undergone a very important restoration after 1980, is open today for worship.
