Villages were evacuated due to the dam in Dereuzunyer, where life has continued throughout history. Even though the old buildings continued to exist, the culture in them disappeared, people were forced to migrate. In the region where the Pinus brutia forest is predominant, there are species belonging to Mediterranean vegetation such as kermes oak (Quercus coccifera), olive trees and mastic tree (Pistacia terebinthus), wild animals such as the rock marten (Martes foina) and the badger (Meles meles).
