Ragıppaşa, which started from the channel where İzmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone (İzmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone) meets the bay, where fishing boats are tied and destroyed in the past years, is still very important in terms of fishery birds. Bird species such as stilt (Himantopus himantopus), terns (Sterna hirundo), silver gull (Larus michahellis), and poochus (Haematopus ostralegus) breed on small islands covered with plants in the area. In addition, the intensive use of the area by the fish enables the birds to find food more easily. In this way, the bird presence in the area is also increasing.
