Bozdağ Anatolian Chestnut Forest

Bozdağ Anatolian Chestnut Forest is located in Boz Mountains Important Biodiversity Area. Boz Dağlar is a mountain mass that lies between the plains formed by the Gediz and Küçük Menderes rivers. Boz Mountains, surrounded by many district centers, is the largest mountain range in the Aegean Region. The vibrant diversity in the region is abundant and there are centuries-old Anatolian chestnuts (Castanea sativa) worth seeing. Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), jackal (Canis aureus), rock marten (Martes foina), snake eagle (Circaetus gallicus) and Anatolian plasterer (Sitta crouper) can be observed in the region.
