Karagöl Natural Park

İzmir Karagöl Natural Park is 850 meters above sea level and has an area of 18.92 hectares. The lake is a landslide set lake formed as a result of geological movements and its depth reaches nine meters. Especially the red-cheeked water turtle (Trachemys scripta) draws attention in the lake, which is located in the red pine (Pinus brutia) and black pine (Pinus nigra) forests. Also, bird species such as cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo), blackbird (Turdus merula), song thrush (Turdus philomelos) and falcon (Buteo buteo) can be seen.
