The stilt (Himantopus himantopus) is mostly a migratory species and comes to the Gediz Delta in the spring. This point is one of the areas where stilt can be seen very closely and approximately 15 pairs of stilt breed in this area. The stilt has red long legs and a long, thin and pointed beak. Bird species such as spurred lapwing (Vanellus spinosus), little egret (Egretta garzetta), great egret (Ardea alba) can also be seen in the region. In the area, which is close to the city center and bicycle paths, there is almost no water in the summer months and this situation affects the birds negatively. For this reason, precipitation in April and May is vital for the area.
