The origin of carpets and rugs, which are among the oldest weaving types of Anatolia, in Turkish culture, can be traced back to the Pazırık carpet, which is dated between 5 and 3 centuries BC. Bergama and its surroundings have historically been an important settlement center, continuing the tradition of carpet and rug weaving.
The history
