Bornova Municipality Bornova City Archive and Museum, Dramalılar Mansion

Although the exact construction date of the building is not known, it is estimated that it was built at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. The building consists of the main building, the mansion building, kitchen and bath structures, the entrance building and the barn. It is understood that additions were made in later periods through architectural alterations both in the main building and its outbuilding sections. The bath structure belonging to the mansion was later run as public baths for many years. The Dramalı family, which the building is named after, took over the mansion in 1924, after being removed from Drama, Greece, as a result of the population exchange. They continued the former owners' tobacco business and became one of the important tobacco merchants of Izmir. The mansion, which was started to be restored by Bornova Municipality in 2010, was reopened in November 2012 as the Bornova City Archive and Museum. In the building, which is an important part of Bornova and Izmir city history, pictures and documents related to the history of Bornova, as well as antiques and other documents are presented to the service of researchers and historians.
