Karşıyaka Earthquake Museum

Karşıyaka Municipality opened this museum, built in memory of those who lost their lives in the Marmara earthquake, on August 17, 2011, the anniversary of the earthquake. The museum, which was established in order to overcome natural disasters with the least damage, as well as to raise the awareness required to make the necessary emergency response after a possible natural disaster, serves as a Natural Disaster Center and Earthquake Memorial House.
