Izmir Ataturk High School Provincial Education History Museum

Founded in 1888 as the Sultani of Izmir, Izmir Ataturk High School moved to the building where it is located today in 1925 after the formation of the Republic. The building and its outbuildings were built in the early 20th century as the Greek Girls' High School [Kentrikon Parthenagogeion] by the Athenian architect Karathanasopoulos in the Greek animator style. It was opened in accordance with the aim of the Ministry of National Education to establish an 'Education Museum' in every province on November 24, 2017. Documents, publications, books, magazines, guides, brochures, catalogs, photographs, video films, film strips, dia and other educational tools are on display.
