Konak Municipality Nejdet Alpar Mask Museum

It was created by the restoration of a historical building in Alsancak, built in accordance with the Levantine culture of Izmir, by Konak Municipality. The museum is first of its kind in Turkey, and home to masks that were brought from different parts of the world masks. The museum was created with the donations and contributions of various people, especially Hicri Tuncalı. Mask Workshops for children and young people are held in the museum. Masks in the museum, which has a large collection of more than 300; is organized in five different categories: Ritual masks, Theater masks, Anatolian masks, Death masks and Those Who Leave Their Marks.
