Izmir University of Economics started education in 2001 and is the first foundation university of both Izmir and Aegean Region. The university has 8 faculties, 3 vocational schools, 2 colleges, 4 institutes and 11 research and application centers. At the university campus, there is a conference hall with a total capacity of 490 people and a usage area of ​​544.72 square meters, a 1565-seat stage, an amphitheater, a 150-person multi-purpose hall, a 65-seat film theatre, dance hall and a 180-person amphitheater/seminar room.
