Aşık Veysel Recreation Area was put into service by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in 2010. The area is structured on 231 decares of land.

In Aşık Veysel Recreation Area, there is an Ice Sports Hall with an area of 12 thousand square meters, which hosts international and national competitions in ice skating and ice hockey and is open to the use of the city residents.
