Şirinyer Hippodrome

Şirinyer Racecourse has hosted the first horse race in Turkey on September 23, 1856. The first night horse race in Turkey also ran on this racetrack in 2007. The hippodrome land is 323,674 square meters. In addition, in an area of 155,440 square meters, there are 1,281 barns a horse hospital, parking space for 100 vehicles and tour paddocks. The hippodrome includes the following facilities: 1756-meter sand track, 1572-meter grass track, 1345-meter training sand track, two tribune buildings, pre-race blood sample collection building, restaurants, country café, saddle room, four ride paddocks, jockey room, doping control building, workshops, playground and three irrigation pools.
