The construction of Opera Izmir, one of the important cultural projects of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, continues. Opera Izmir, which will serve Izmir's goals of 'becoming a city of culture', has been designed as a special art center where design and production will take place as well as hosting stage shows. The building, which is planned to be completed in 2022, has an area of ​​73,800 square meters. The capacity of the main hall envisaged for the center, which is in the project phase, was determined as 1,453 people. The building, designed to have a small hall with a capacity of 437 spectators, an open performance area with a capacity of 350 spectators, a foyer, a roof area overlooking the Gulf and an open green area extending to the shore, will also have a parking space for 525 vehicles.
