Atatürk Stadium is the biggest Olympic stadium in İzmir. The stadium built for Mediterranean Games in 1971, was reorganized for the World University Summer Games in 2005. This stadium is used for the matches of Altay SK, Karşıyaka SK, Göztepe SK and İzmirspor teams and for events subject to athletics. Here is Turkey's second largest Olympic stadium with people capacity of 51.337.
