Sema Cinema
Sema Cinema was opened in 1967 by Enver Bakioglu. Architectural planning for the mosque was performed by Architect Riza Askan, and it was built on a large ground covering 2 thousand square metres. Its stage was big enough to host theatre plays and concerts.
Special nylon silver screen was specifically imported from United Kingdom. 755-seat capacity main hall had five doors. Another feature of Sema Cinema was that it had licence to sell alcoholic beverages at its bar. Cinemagoers could have a drink while waiting for the movie to begin.
The site it was located in, Buyuk Barut Inn, was refurbished in the early 1990s, and renamed to Kemer Plaza. While this mall is still in service, Sema Cinema was closed in 2007.
