Izmir European Jazz Festival was held for the 26th time in 2019. The aim of the Festival is to bring together Europe's and Turkey's jazz artists whom provided important developments in their field and to spread this culture to a wide audience. Within the scope of the festival, jazz lovers from Izmir get the opportunity to meet jazz artists from Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Romania and Switzerland. The biggest difference of Izmir European Jazz Festival is that it is mainly education focused. Numerous young audiences find the opportunity to listen, understand, learn and love European jazz. In addition, artists who come to the festival to give a concert convey their knowledge to young artists from Izmir through workshops and master classes. In addition to this, the official poster of the festival for the last 17 years, selected at Jazz Poster Competition organized for young designers and with the participation of gifted people from all over Turkey.
