Best Jogging and Running Trails in İzmir

İzmir is rainy for only 80 days a year, which means it is like a paradise for those who like to run. It is possible to find long running trails in almost every corner of the city. If you prefer to run in the fresh air rather than getting stuck in a gym, you can take a look at our list of the best jogging and running trails in İzmir.

Kordon

We recommend you to run at Kordon, which conquers the hearts not only with its sunset view but also with its uninterrupted 2-kilometer long tartan track for jogging and running track. The track starting from Konak Pier and extending to Alsancak Train Station is accompanied by a magnificent view of the Gulf.

İnciraltı City

Forest It is one of the rare places to run which is surrounded by nature and the sea at the same time. The best part of your run will be that moment when you’ll jump into the sea when you’re finished! The forest offers asphalt and dirt trails. We recommend you to run these trails in the daylight.

Kültürpark

If you’re not intimidated by too much oxygen, you can visit Kültürpark to run under the centuries-old trees and rest on the grass when you’re done. The 1.7-kilometer-long jogging and running track has a tartan surface.

Bostanlı Coast

Another place that you can run with a sea view is Bostanlı coast, although it gets a little bit crowded on sunny days. With its 2-kilometer-long uninterrupted asphalt track, the Bostanlı coast is preferred by both runners and cyclists.

Güzelyalı Coastal Road

Are you ready to run for 7 kilometers from Konak to Üçkuyular? This is a great running trail where you can see many fishermen along the way. We recommend you to prefer the early hours when it’s not crowded yet.

Hasanağa Garden

In this lush garden in Buca, there is a 1.5-kilometer-long tartan track. The lightning in the park is good enough to run at night as well.
