Motorcycle Routes of Izmir

For those who love to live life on two wheels, many motorcycle routes are waiting to be discovered in İzmir.

1. Ancient Cities Route

This route, which starts from Çeşme Port, brings together the important ancient cities of İzmir. From the low traffic backroads of Çeşme, you can reach Urla Port and take a break at the entrance of Klazomenai Ancient City. Then you can continue to the Ancient city of Lebedos in Seferihisar and end your journey in Selçuk, Ephesus Ancient City. The total length of the route is about 200 kilometers.

2. Villages Route

If you wish, you can create a route that brings together the most famous villages of İzmir. If it’s time for the Scarecrow Festival, you can start with Barbaros village, or you can go to Germiyan if you want to see Turkey's first slow food village. Bademler village of the Seferihisar district is the first and only village in Turkey that has a theater. You can go to Kösedere Village to taste dozens of different kinds of herbs. If you want to taste the fresh fish that the villagers caught just that morning, you can include Özbek Village on your route.

3. City Center Route

If you are a stranger to İzmir, we recommend you to explore the city center as well as the natural routes around the city. You can start from Konak and continue towards Karşıyaka after seeing Kordonboyu and Alsancak. There are countless historical monuments, museums and many cafes where you can enjoy the view of the Gulf in both districts. If the city center overwhelms you, you can continue towards the northwest and set the sun in Foça to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets of your life.

4. Karaburun Peninsula Route

Starting from Gülbahçe and continuing to Balıklıova, Mordoğan, and Karaburun, you can complete the peninsula after passing through Haseki and Salman Köprü on the route. The total length of the route is 120 kilometers. You can also swim in the numerous hidden bays waiting to be explored along the route.

5. Çeşme Peninsula Route

Çeşme is one of the most famous peninsulas in Turkey. You can explore this peninsula on your motorbike by taking some time to enjoy the sea, sand, and sun. If you wish, you can extend your journey towards Chios.
