Blue Flag

İzmir has a total of 629 kilometers of coastline. Turkey is the heart of coastal tourism with its crystal clear sea enveloping every shade of blue, its unique beaches and beaches that bring people together with the sea, its coves and marinas, and popular holiday resorts where all kinds of water sports can be practiced.

The Blue Flag is an international environmental award given to qualified beaches, marinas and yachts. Within the scope of the Blue Flag program implemented in 50 countries around the world, İzmir ranks third in Turkey, after Antalya and Muğla, with a total of 63 blue flag beaches.
