Old Customs Building (Konak Pier Shopping Mall)
In 1994, the building group together with its immediate surroundings was declared as a site area by the Izmir Cultural and Natural Heritage Preservation Board with the decision dated 20.01.1994. The building group, whose survey and restoration project work started in 1995, has now been transformed into a shopping center consisting of shops and cafes after the restoration works have been completed.
The history
The building group known as Konak Pier Shopping Center today was built in the second half of the 19th century to be used as French customs buildings.
