Rest your body and your soul at the Agamemnon Hot Springs
Agamemnon Hot Springs are in Balçova, just 8 km away from İzmir’s city center. They have been famous since the early ages. According to the legend, King Agamemnon or some of his soldiers wounded in Troy war were treated and healed in these hot springs. In another legend, it is said that soldiers from Alexander the Great’s army are also healed in these hot springs.
In up to 63 OC hot springs, the radioactivity value is 3.3 and the healing water includes sodium bicarbonate and chloride. Agamemnon Hot Springs are mainly effective in the treatment of chronic inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, nephrite, certain inflammations, rheumatism syndromes, metabolism disorders, and dermatological diseases.
Providing services in Balçova for many years, the Physiotherapy center in the Thermal Therapy and Diagnosis Centre is one of the largest and esteemed centers of Turkey and Europe. It is a facility scientifically working particularly on rheumatismal, orthopedic, and neurological diseases.

If you are visiting the city and you do not have a bicycle, you can rent one with the Smart Bicycle System Project (BISIM) initiated by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in 2014. As of 2019, the project serves at 35 stations on the coastline between the student dormitories in Mavişehir and Balçova İnciraltı in Karşıyaka. You can rent bicycles with a membership card, credit card, or İzmirimkart.
Center for Disabled in İnciraltı is the pleasure center for disabled
Center for Disabled in İnciraltı was opened in 2012 by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which is also known by its sensitivity regarding the services for disabled citizens.
The center is located in Ahmet Piriştina Forest. You can arrive by special autobus to Center for Disabled in İnciraltı, where the disabled citizens can have a good time with their families. There is a highly economical food and beverage shop within the facility. You can also have a picnic with the whole family on the benches by the seaside.
The facility offers workshops in many different areas from folk dances to literacy education, dance lessons to table tennis, and has a hobby garden. It is also home the only scout group of disabled individuals in Turkey.

İzmir is a pedestrian-friendly city with its walking trails by the seaside. You can comfortably walk in Kordonboyu, İnciraltı City Forest, Sahilevleri, Güzelbahçe and can rest on the benches or in cafes by the seaside.
